From Small Town Dreams to Shinique

We are three sisters – Afshan Fatma, Gulfishan Fatma, and Sana Fatma – born and raised in a small town where dreams were often limited by surroundings, but never by our spirits.

We grew up in a world where education was a luxury, and resources were scarce. We studied in government schools with minimal facilities – broken benches, no libraries, no computers. But our biggest blessing was our father. A man with a big heart and an even bigger vision, he always encouraged us to pursue education, to dream beyond boundaries. With his support, we made the most of what little was available.

Marriage Changed Our Address—Not Our Ambitions

Eventually, life moved on, and we got married – one to Aligarh, the other two to Delhi. Until then, we had never even touched a computer. We didn’t know what the digital world looked like.

However, life has a way of revealing our true selves in beautiful ways.
Everything changed after marriage.

We were introduced to the world of computers and the internet by our supportive families. That’s when we realized a whole new world of opportunities was waiting for us. Together, we started learning computers from scratch – typing, designing, marketing – all one step at a time.

With the constant support of our mamma (Mr. Humayun Rasheed) in Texas, USA, we entered the world of freelancing. We explored digital marketing, website design, graphic design, and more. Slowly, our skills turned into income. And our income turned into independence.

We were proud of what we had achieved. From not knowing how to switch on a computer to managing clients from across the globe, we had come a long way.
But still, something felt missing.

We were building a future, yes – but what about our children? What about leaving behind a legacy?

And so, together, we created Shinique – our jewelry brand, born from our love for creativity, our desire to be independent, and our dream to give our children something to be proud of.
